Children of the Dragon: Duluth Area Support Group

We recognize that being raised in a mixed race family can present challenges not experienced by most children. Our purpose is to celebrate the cultures in which our children were born and into which they have been adopted. We also work to provide role models for parents and children in mixed race families that are positive and supportive. Our activities include:

• Act as a resource to families who are considering adoption from any Asian Country
• Connect families with Asian related resources in our community and state and develop local resources which will benefit our families and community
• Support and work with the Asian Lion Dance Team to provide cultural outlets and resources for our children and community
• Organize and plan family events, like the Asian New Year Celebration, weekly summer picnics at the beach, and sponsor a Dragon Boat racing team for parents and interested others
• We welcome anyone who has adopted or is considering adopting a child from an Asian country.
